Vision
Vision
The foundation seeks to become an internationally respected cultural institution dedicated to promoting Ukrainian culture and supporting the reconstruction of society through art and education.
In the long term, the foundation aims to establish the Museum of Beauty and Cultural Education Center in Kharkiv, which will serve as a cultural hub connecting Ukraine with the international artistic community.
A Story of Resilience and Gratitude
Veronika Blyzniuchenko, a Ukrainian contemporary artist born in Kharkiv, was forced to leave her homeland after the outbreak of war. Seeking safety, she found refuge in Portugal, where she later became a resident and began rebuilding her life.
Through determination, discipline, and deep dedication to her artistic work, Veronika was able not only to restore stability for herself, but also to support her family and people close to her during an extremely difficult time.
Guided by gratitude for the country that welcomed her and by a profound sense of responsibility toward society, Veronika initiated an extraordinary project: the restoration and reopening of a historic section of the Basilica da Estrela in Lisbon, a monument that had been closed for decades. Without institutional funding, the project was accomplished through the strength of her work, creativity, and commitment.
This initiative revealed the powerful collective force that art can have — the ability to transform spaces, bring people together, and inspire reconstruction after hardship.
From this experience was born a greater mission: the creation of the Veronika Blyzniuchenko Foundation. The foundation seeks to channel the transformative power of art toward rebuilding communities, supporting vulnerable people, and contributing to the reconstruction of her native city of Kharkiv.
The foundation is built on principles of economic sustainability, responsible management, and full transparency, ensuring that every initiative creates real, measurable, and lasting impact.
Through art, gratitude becomes action — and beauty becomes a force for rebuilding the future.
